Laws for buying antique guns?

I'm interested in getting some old guns. Not sure exactly what kinds, but it would be awesome to own old revolvers and repeaters. I live in Massachusetts, so it's a law that I would have to carry a license to buy a gun (which requires passing a safety course and dishing out a couple hundred dollars), but I wasn't sure about antique guns. Is there any way to buy antique guns here or in other states, or even online without a license?
