I wish to get into the Public Relations Industry. How do I go about it?

Seems like PR is 1 field where good communication skills & an affinity for media & brands seems to be the gateway to a high profile career. I have good communication skills & have an inclination towards media, but i dont see a direct entry into the industry. I have been advised by many to do a course for the same. Is there a specialized course in PR?
