Christians: If we're going to keep gay marriage illegal, shouldn't we require men to have short hair as well?

The issue isn't "gay marriage" being illegal (I'm not advocating same-sex couples be fined or sent to prison); it's "should it be recognized by government and rewarded with tax benefits." And since I'm not advocating men with long hair be fined or sent to prison, or that men be short hair be recognized by government and rewarded with tax benefits, there is no hypocrisy.
